A Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a structured, machine-readable record attached to every product covered by the EU's Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. It contains material composition, supply-chain origin, certifications, repair and recycling data, and is accessible via a GS1 Digital Link QR code printed on or attached to the garment.

Textiles and footwear are among the first product groups in scope. The ESPR delegated act setting the textile rules is expected around 2027, with mandatory passports phasing in after that and further data fields following later. The nearer, already-fixed deadline is the EU's Empowering Consumers Directive, enforced from 27 September 2026, which bans unsubstantiated environmental claims. Either way, major EU retailers already require passport-readiness from suppliers today, so brands need 6–12 months to get ahead.

Existing passports stay published — we never take public passport pages offline. If you downgrade past your published passport limit, you can keep them all live but cannot publish new ones until you're back under your tier's quota.

On Professional and Enterprise, you invite suppliers across the five tiers (raw material → finished good). Each supplier gets a scoped login to upload their own material data, certificates, and emissions evidence. You retain final approval before passports are published.

Yes — every passport is exportable as JSON-LD (W3C verifiable credential format), CSV, and PDF. Professional and Enterprise also include a one-click full data export from the Settings → Data export tab.

Most Starter and Professional brands publish their first passport the same day. Enterprise integrations involving EU Registry sync, white-label domains, or API integrations typically take 2–4 weeks with our Customer Success team.

Yes — Professional and Enterprise plans include consumer ownership registration. When a shopper scans the QR code on their garment and visits the passport page, they can register ownership with their name and email. Enterprise plans additionally include a Consumer Registry dashboard where you can view all registered owners across every product in one place, email them directly, export their data to CSV, and push new registrations to your own systems via webhook in real time.

Every action in your workspace — product publishes, certificate uploads, member changes, billing events — is written to a cryptographically secured audit log available on the Enterprise plan. Each entry is hashed using SHA-256 and linked to the previous entry's hash (a hash chain). If any entry is ever modified, deleted, or inserted out of order, the chain breaks and the audit page shows an integrity alert with the exact position of the tampered entry. This gives compliance teams and auditors a provable, write-only record they can trust.
